Abstract

Ahthor experienced 2 cases of unicystic ameloblastoma, and reported clinical, radiological and histopathological features of these cases through review of literature.
@ES The results were as follows.
@EN 1. The age ranged from 2nd decade to 3rd decade, and these cases occurred from right mandibular molar to ramus. Radiographical feature showed unilocular area with well defined or circumscribed border, disclosing sometimes scallopped area. But
no
impacted tooth was associated with radiolucence area.
2. Gross examination showed a granular excrescence from cyst wall, and regular thickened wall except focal thickening of cystic epithelial lining, disclosing sometimes tortous or botryoid extension.
3. Histopathologic features showed cystic lining cells differentiated from general cystic lining epithelial cells, disclosing hyperchromatic basal cells with polarity away from basement membrane similar to ameloblastic cells, apical cytoplasmic
vaculoization, aboving stratified squamous epithelial cells, budding of basal cells and mural proliferation, and luminal proliferation.
